Nigeria regained democracy in 1999 when it elected Olusegun Obasanjo, the former military head of state, as the new President of Nigeria ending almost 33 years of military rule (from 1966 until 1999). Nigeria's Defence Intelligence Agency which is responsible for Intelligence gathering was then tasked with starting its own Super Soldier Program dubbed Project Orisha. Nigeria paid an unknown amount to the United States in return for Dr DNA from the Force of July being lent to them to start off the program. He remained for one year during which he performed a few experiments and trained the local scientists. Of course he also left a worm in their computers so he could access their material and findings at any time. Bagh Nakh was then created as a Metahuman Task Force to protect the nation of Nigeria.
